Welcome to Episode 4, of the “Sober is Dope” Podcast. This episode is called “Transformation and Miracles.” In this episode POP Buchanan opens up his personal diary and memoir from the earlier days of his sobriety. He shares two intimate pieces of literature. The fist piece is a letter he wrote to future generations talking about the torment, and perceived hopelessness accompanied by addiction. He explains how this hopelessness in regards to transformation, can be addressed by seeking a miracle. POP talks about the power of transformation, vital spiritual experiences, and creative miracles. He hopes that for a newly recovering addict or suffering addict, this letter will shed light on the torment they face through addiction, and let them know that they are never alone. The second piece of literature is a poem called “Born Again Me” by POP Buchanan. This poem is read by Jennifer Ruff. This poem is about seeking refuge from the drowning and suffocating effects of alcoholism. Lastly, POP shared a song called @monkhealing. This song is about all the positive benefits that sobriety has provided in POP’s life. This episode is dedicated to everyone suffering from addiction, disease, illness, heartbreak, and depression. You are not alone. Love you all.
